Job Summary
Van's Home Center is looking for a full-time Customer Service Representative to join our team! As a Customer Service Representative, you are a key member of the team and represent our company through daily contact with customers and other vendors. You will be responsible for addressing varying customer inquiries. Exemplifying our code of values, you show professionalism, respect and courtesy to those you come in contact with daily. This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, energetic, enjoy helping people, and you can stay calm, and provide clear, helpful direction and solutions if customers become frustrated. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Tracking purchase orders and proactively updating customers on the status of their order
- Notifying customers who are picking up from our store that their order has arrived and schedule pick-up of their order
- Complete necessary paperwork (pick tickets, etc.), return customer calls, and respond to customer inquiries
- Assisting members of the Customer Service team as needed per the direction of the Customer Service Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years Customer Service experience
- High School Diploma
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong computer skills
- Positive Attitude
- Team player who can work independently
- Able to plan workload efficiently and independently

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
