Job Summary

Van's Home Center is looking for an experienced, certified Design Consultant to join our team! As a Design Consultant, you will be interacting with our clients to provide expertise in how our products and services can work in their project. It will be your job to assist our customers and sales consultants in the design and product selection of flooring, cabinets, countertops, appliances, and furniture. You will be required to create renderings and takeoffs for estimating purposes utilizing design software such as 20/20, SmartDraw, and/or Sketchup. Finally, you will be responsible for assisting with the visual merchandising of the showroom displays and products.

Responsibilities:

Being able to greet customers, answering questions, engaging customers with merchandise, and providing exceptional customer service by utiizing your design expertise.
Assisting customers with product selections for their products.
Assist with the visual merchandising of our store's showroom
Gain and maintain strong product knowledge
Create project renderings utilizing popular industry design software.
Contribute to the sales department’s goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis • Passionately seek out customers in the store
Build customer relationships

Qualifications:

Interior Design experience
Professional appearance
Experience with design software such as 20/20
Personable and friendly attitude
Ability to work in fast-paced environments
Understanding of sales principles

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
